April 1 to Memorial Day Weekend - Open Saturday and Sunday at 9:30. Trains run at 10 am, 11am, Noon, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm and 4pm.
Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day - Open Daily at 9:30. Trains run at 10 am, 11am, Noon, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm and 5pm.
Labor Day to Halloween - Open Saturday and Sunday at 9:30. Trains run at 10 am, 11am, Noon, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm and 4pm.
Halloween to November 30 - Open Saturday and Sunday at 9:30. Trains run at 10 am, 11am, Noon, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm.
Please arrive at least 15 to 20 minutes before the hour to allow time for ticketing.
We do not run trains when weather conditions make operation unsafe. Please call us at 608-254-6367 if weather is a concern.

Prices
The museum charges no admission fee and we have plenty of free parking.
Train rides cost $12 for adults, $9 for seniors (62 and up), and $8 for children. Children 3 years old and younger ride free.
Active duty military personnel and their families ride free. Please bring your Military ID.

Groups
We offer special rates for schools, churches, parties and other groups. Contact us for more information and to make arrangements.

Family Friendly
The Riverside & Great Northern is a family-friendly museum. We make every effort to provide a safe, comfortable and enjoyable experience for the whole family.
We have a snack shop and picnic facilities on the grounds -- bring your own picnic, if you like -- so your family can enjoy lunch together while watching the action.
Our bright, clean restroom facilities have changing stations for parents of young children. Our grounds provide an area for you and your kids to enjoy an hour or two out in the sun.
We hope you will bring your family and enjoy every minute of your visit with us.

Special Needs Accommodations
The Riverside & Great Northern Railway provides limited accessibility for visitors with special needs.
The Museum's grounds, restrooms and public locations are generally accessible to visitors with limited mobility and visitors using wheelchairs and walkers.
Because of the historic nature of our rail cars, however, we regret that we cannot accommodate wheelchairs on train rides.
